After 20 years in the same property, our landscaping had become an odd combination of completely overgrown and barren. Blackberries, shrubs and some trees were out of control while other plants, shrubs, and trees had died off. We have a 7000 square foot lot and we were looking for someone who could provide a comprehensive landscape plan. From the initial reach out until the last item planted, Rachel was incredible. She went to work immediately measuring the property and emailing various ideas and photos prior to developing a plan. She is clearly knowledgeable about plant, shrub, and tree options and what grows well in various soil and light conditions. I was amazed by the sheer variety of plant options and consideration for a variety of blooming seasons that Rachel managed to work into the plans while incorporating many of our favorites. She also worked with the contractor to source some Juniper wood for 3-foot high elevated vegetable beds that we were interested in having built. I found Rachel here on Houzz and knew from her portfolio and reviews that we might be a good fit. Boy, was I right! I gave her a very, very eclectic assortment of ideas and my vision for the yard. And she somehow managed to put it all together in a beautiful, functional and stunning design. And she was also very sensitive to mine and my husband's budget. I could not recommend her more highly. I hired Rachel to come up with a design for my large front yard. I had a septic system out front which was somewhat of a limitation. Rachel did a wonderful job of listening to what kind of environment I was looking for.
